After considering advice from a whole host of people, Billy's decided to put up a sign. He asks the bar nicely for paper and markers, and writes in his best handwriting. When he's satisfied that it's as neat as it's going to get, he posts it on a nearby wall and hopes it's noticable:

[[I am so tempted to have Kain tag into this, you have no idea. But I don't think you want a crazy, blood-thirsty vampire teaching Billy how to rip out souls. Or even suggesting it. But the thread is open XD]]

I see the sign when I return to the bar from another bout of researching, and I smile to myself. Well. Although I had to learn by myself, there is surely no harm in teaching others while I am here, is there not?

"Hello there," little mortal "I see that you have requested an instructor in the ways of magic. I have a special sort of magic, myself, but perhaps I may be of some... assistance."

The voice is... chilling. It speaks to something in Billy that he doesn't like to think about, the same way the man in the cell had.

"What--what kind of magic do you do?"

Mia was just about to leave, lute in hand, when she notices the sign. It doesn't take long to find a pen in her pocket and write a note:

If you don't mind a classroom setting, semester will be starting at the Magic Guild of Vane soon. You are welcome to visit my home and see if you would like to attend.

Billy comes by a while later and reads the note. He would be a litter nervous about going off world -- but a school sounds so cool. A group of people, all like him? Would be amazing, if just for the novelty factor.

He decides to ask Kate and Will if they know Mia, and if they can help him find her.

A post it note is attached in reply.

Look for the guy with the grey robe who looks way too young to be wearing something that stodgy. Or, you know, ask for Carlos Ramirez. I'm around. Let's talk.

Billy gets the note and looks up and around for Carlos.

There's a guy who matches that description sitting by the bar, enjoying a beer. He looks pretty young, 25 tops, and he's grinning as he writes down something or other onto a notebook.

Oh. Huh, he does look young, but Billy figures that there's no harm in talking to him. He gathers up his courage and less than stellar social skills before marching over to the bar.

"Um, hey. Are you Carlos?"

Tom eyes the sign. He certainly has helped a few magic users out in his time here. Things are not too terribly hectic in the Underside at the moment. Chore offers are always a plus.

I have assisted others in magical training, and one of my main fields of interest is comparative magical systems between users here at Milliways. I would be happy to speak with you about what work we might do together.

Tom Riddle -- that's the man X-23 had mentioned, though she hadn't said anything about him being royalty. Jeez.

Billy grabs the marker from the bar and adds to the corner of the note:

How can I find you? --B.K.

Tom sees the note next time he's in the bar.

He looks around for the author of the sign, but of course, he has no way of knowing. Instead he leaves another note for Billy.

I am actually in the bar, probably for the next hour or so. I'll be sitting at table near the fireplace area drinking a scotch. If I miss you, then tell me a time when we could meet, and I shall be there.

Tom Riddle

He retrieves said scotch from Bar and sits down where he might be found.

ooc: He can be there for whenever you need him.

Billy finds this note on time and looks up to spot Tom. Another one that looked pretty young, but the first note sounded like the guy knew what he was doing.

He walked over and sat down, only wincing a little from his ribs. "Um? Excuse me? Are you Mr. Riddle?"

Loki reads the note and considers for a second or two before she sketches a quick rune int eh air which bursts into a will-o-the-wisp. The will-o-the-wisp flies off into the barroom and explodes harmlessly against Billy's paper.

She is soon there and says, "You are the one seeking a teacher?"

Billy drops the paper and looks up in alarm.

"I am. That was impressive."

"A simple matter really," she says dismissively. "I am Loki Laufeyson, you are?"

"Billy Kaplan. Also known as Wiccan."

His expression says: oh my god. Not that Loki, surely?
