There's a risk involved, of course; there's always a risk. Still, when faced with something like this, there's only one possible response for a man like Nathan Stark to make.

He strolls forward to the door, glances around the room, and steps casually across the threshold into the bar.

"I presume you can still hear me on this side of the line, SARAH?"

Stark's completely ignoring the presence of both Zoe and Jack, at least for the moment.

"Yes, Doctor Stark. My external audio-pickup range does not seem to be hampered in Milliways."

To Jack and Zoe: "I am sorry I never told you."

"...this can't be good," was the brilliant thing Jack thought to say.

"This is awesome," Zoe says, stepping out of SARAH's front door and looking around the bar.

X-23, who has just slipped in from outside, goes very still for half a moment. Her nostrils flare as she scents the air, and her shoulders go tense.

But she has never been very good at running away.

And she's probably worried about SARAH. Which explains why she approaches the AI (and the rest), expression perfectly composed.

"Hello."

It seems like a reasonable enough approach.

"Hello, X-23. Please do not hit anyone."

With a segue like that, it has to be good.

There are footsteps audible on the stairs.

"SARAH, what do you..."

His question dies off as Stark steps further into the room and glances around.

"...Ah."

A short, precise beat.

"Laura, wasn't it?"

"Yes."

She doesn't move, just looks at him out of clear green eyes.

"You do not have any permanent damage?"

Not that she hit him very hard, but it seems polite.

She is practicing.

Pepper recognizes SARAH's voice (whom she's gotten logged in her brain as 'femme-JARVIS'), and heads on over.

She does not, however, recognize the people coming out of her door. She glances behind them at the steel door before looking back at the humans.

With a polite smile, "Hello. New?"

"How'd you guess?" Zoe asks, eying the woman. "Have you met my house?"

"Hello again, Virginia."

"Some of us more than others," he says, swinging around to face the new arrival with a warm smile.

"Nathan Stark."

Well, at about the same time the door swings open, Daniel Jackson appears in a flash of light. Note the off white sweater and pants he's wearing.

"Ah come on!" he said with a hand flail.

The voice behind the door is confused.

"Come where?"

"It's a figure of speech," he said, "I'm frustrated!"

He didn't even look to who or what he was talking to. His back to the door and the people.

"About what?"

It's a different voice, this time. Stark has turned around to look at the newcomer with mild interest.

Ohhh a talking room!

OOoohhh people! New people- it was that fresh sort of new scent that new people give off when they are just arriving into Milliays that brought the white fox with the crazy blue eyes sitting right infront of them watching. Her head tilted to the right, studying each of them in turn (more importantly their shoes looking for hidden laces) before looking back up again.

Oddly enough her tail gave a proper thump against the floor half expectedly for their shoe laces to be handed over. Or else.

"...this place also has foxes," Jack remarks.

"Welcome to Milliways, Sheriff Carter."

The man has nice shoes. Shiny shoes with very nice shoelaces.

Inari looks from the laces then back up at the man- Carter- with an expected look of handing over the laces, now, before she takes her own steps to taking them from him.
