Around the bar, around noon

Teja was out by the lake shore, practising with a sword that was, in fact, lighter and slimmer than he was used to; he had made himself one like those Will Turner made, or Kurt Wagner used. He wanted to see how it might be possible to speed up his movements, the way that damnable gelding had done to win the duel.

Asar-Suti was inside, having lunch

A small blonde person approaches the purple god, peering at him over the table.

"Boo!"

[asar_suti]

"So he bites biscuits instead?" Asar-Suti said, taking the offered biscuit and holding it in his hand, wondering what to do with it.

[vs_nuggan]

"Me bite people." Jack says seriously, eating the biscuit.

"No, biting isn't very nice. The biscuits are just part of his lunch. That one's for you." she adds, noting the confusion at the biscuit.

[asar_suti]

Asar-Suti doesn't know why he should have deserved a biscuit!

"What do you do if the people bite back?" he said to little Jack. "If you bit me, I' turn into a cat and bite you! I have quite sharp teeth as a cat."

[vs_nuggan]

It was just for sharing; neither he nor the toddler are being trained like a puppy.

Jack's eyes widen. He clearly hadn't considered this possibility. Then he grins.

"Be cat!"

[asar_suti]

Asar-Suti puts down the biscuit and turns into a cat, a lavender tabby with unnaturally purple eyes, grinning up at little Jack with sharp little fangs.

[vs_nuggan]

Jack squeals in delight, moves forward and gives Asar-Suti a Sims 2 style toddler cat cuddle.

[asar_suti]

Asar-Suti doesn't even bite; he purrs.

[vs_nuggan]

Shufti giggles and takes the opportunity to sit down.

"Are you okay in there Asar-Suti? I can pull him off if he gets too strong on you."

[asar_suti]

"I am a deity," Asar-Suti asures her. "He can't harm me!"

Beat.

"MROOOAR!"

[vs_nuggan]

:o!

Jack jumps back and bursts into tears, running to his mummy.

[asar_suti]

"I just mioawed loudly!" Asar-Suto defends himself.

It is a bad thing to make a baby cry, isn't it?

[vs_nuggan]

"It's okay." Shufti says, to both of them. "You just made him jump. Nothing to be scared of Jack." She leans down and pets Asar-Suti, to show it's safe.

[asar_suti]

"Meeaouw!" Asar-Suti says, much more tamely.

[vs_nuggan]

"Kitty." Jack climbs down and goes back over.

[asar_suti]

Asar-Suti stands, tamely, and lets the little child touch him.
