Around the bar, around noon

Teja was out by the lake shore, practising with a sword that was, in fact, lighter and slimmer than he was used to; he had made himself one like those Will Turner made, or Kurt Wagner used. He wanted to see how it might be possible to speed up his movements, the way that damnable gelding had done to win the duel.

Asar-Suti was inside, having lunch, with a book in front of his nose. There was no grim man with axe in his favourite chair by the fireplace, and he was taking advantage of that. Lunch was three big crocodile steaks today, and a load of potatoes and salad. For some reason, the purple deity was hungry today. He'd hauled too many books around the magic library, maybe! It was time he started to think about gardening again.

Tower was by the observation window, smoking a cigar and watching the world end. It never got old.-
