Oh, no.

Where did he get THAT? And does it really matter?

Somehow, The Door has opened for a Bender on the run. A Bender on the run, carrying a slot machine. And then slammed in the officers' faces.

"Haha! Take that, suckers! You couldn't catch the Great Bender if I was made of lead!" It's just now that Bender looks around. "Oh, hey! Here this ( Read more... )

"Hey, Bender. Where'd you get the slot machine?"

...

A few moments later, a gulp of beer turns into a rather impressive spit-take.

[ooc: probably going to bed shortly, but had to get the tag in. :D]

"From a casino, meatbag. Where else?" Bender rolls his eyes-- And then they bug out of his head.

"Wait a minute--Fry??? When the hell did YOU get here, you meatsack? Good to see you!" It's actually possible that Bender could not be happier to see anyone else in the universe right now.

After all, Fry's only the biggest scapegoat he's ever known.

"A couple of weeks. How long have you been coming here?"

The fact that Bender was the first one to find the magical apocalyptic bar is completely unsurprising. The fact that he didn't tell him about it is....

Okay, that's not really a shock either.

"Eh, a good six months, at least. But only once in a while. This place is covered in chumps. Half of 'em have never even seen a robot before!" He shakes his head. "What sad, sorry worlds they must occupy..."

Andy has seen much stranger things than a horribly familiar robot running through a bar at the end of the universe carrying a slot machine.

Oh ... oh, no, he hasn't.

He's spilt his JD & Coke all over his shirt, but hasn't noticed because he's too busy staring.

Bender has just turned around in time to observe the spillage. "Hey, meatsack, that's valuable booze your wasting there! There's robots starving all over Earth, ya know!"

There is the briefest of pauses. "Which reminds me." Bender opens the door in his torso, pulls out two beers. "Bottoms up!" Seconds later, both bottles have been emptied. "Ah, much better."

Andy's eyes widen even more; he quickly rights his glass and looks down at his shirt.

"Oh, man, I'm gonna have to-- did you just pull beer out of yourself?"

Beat.

"Did you just drink beer? Aren't you a freakin' robot?"

"What, your eyes not working or something? Yes, I did. And robots--wait a minute." Bender's eyes roll again. "When are you from, chump? And do you know anything about robots at all?"

Bender might even answer the stupid question. After he antagonizes the crap outta this guy, of course.

Leela looks up from her drink, startled when a loud crashing noise, like the sound of hundreds of quarters rubbing against each other, echoes near her. Her surprise quickly turns into annoyance.

"Bender?" she asks, crossing her arms over her chest. "What are you doing here? And what is that?!"

"Fry did it." It's almost like it's programmed into his brain, the moment he hears that tone and voice. It takes a moment to register what exactly he's just heard.

"Wait a minute... Leela! Wonderful! You can, uh, help me make this delivery! The Professor wanted me to deliver this to, uh, Atlantic City! Yeah."

A significant pause.

"But first we're supposed to take out all the cash and coins. They don't want 'em."

For a moment she looks like she believes him. "A delivery? To Atlantic City?"

Then her eye narrows and her arms settle firmly over her chest again. "How come no ones told me about it until now?"

Leela's no patsy.

...Unless of course she is.

Bender waves off her question. "Oh, come on. You were in here, and I was at the office. When the professor couldn't find you, he sent me. With the goods."

Bender is doing all he can not to look shocked. Hey, I think she's buyin' it!
