"I can't believe they didn't call you back."
The monotone of the first man's voice does nothing to lessen his companion's enthusiasm: "I know! I swear to God--"
"You know, maybe that's why you're not allowed to go to Jesus' house to play video games anymore."
"--I was the best person there," Gabe continues as if he hasn't been interrupted at all (he probably didn't notice; he certainly hasn't noticed the bar yet, despite both him and Tycho being halfway across it now). "I did all the things you said, I was diplomatic, and I sent that shitty toilet coffee back for him. And I was the only one in the room who'd completed every Super Mario game."
Tycho just looks at him, then orders a beer from Bar. "You know ... Nintendo didn't make Pacman."
Gabe stares at his t-shirt in sudden horror; Tycho just drinks his beer.
Gabe's probably going to be staring at himself for a while.
