There's a chill in the air--more than a chill, an outright nip--but Jack has Georgia bundled up warm and snug and taken her for a walk around the lake. Upon occasion she insists on getting down from his arms and attempting a step or two on her own, but she's not quite mastered the art of staying upright yet.

Neither do Children of Light.

A small blond boy scampers over pursued by wolfcub. They seem to be playing some version of tag that only they understand.

Their mother joins them shortly with their baby sister in her arms.

"Oh! Hello, Jack. It's been too long."

He smiles at her cheerfully. "Hello, dearest. And who are these two fine wee bairns?"

Georgia boggles at the wolf and hangs onto Jack's trousers.

Ce'Nedra pulls an apple out of her pocket and offers it to Jack.

"This is Geran, he's a big boy now, and Wolf, his companion."

She holds up the baby a bit and beams with pride.

"And this is X'Daran. She's a Dryad like me!"

She has to say it even though she's sure Jack already knows.

"So she is indeed," he says and leans close to the baby, holding Georgia so she can say hello too. "Hello, X'Daran."

A little baby boy, about six months old, crawls over to Georgia.

Seems his mum had a similar idea. She's just behind.

Georgia peers at the newcomer. More babies?

Jack looks at Georgia with a big smile.

"Aah!" he says as his mum catches up. She also smiles at Georgia.

"Hello there."

Georgia clings to her daddy.

"Hello, Shufti," says Jack--the Green one. "Long timee no see. How are you doing, dear?"

There's one here, just out of her reach as she walks in, who didn't crawl at all. Just upped and walked.

And that's what she's doing, even as she bends down and scoops her niecedaughterGeorgia into her arms and blows a big raspberry on her outstretched hands before simply kissing Jack's cheek and sitting down next to him.

"Long time no see, sweety."

Sheila's nose gets clapped, but she doesn't mind. It's a large enough nose.

"You look..."

She turns to appraise him.

"Am I allowed to use the word nummy?"

"If you wish," he says, preening. "Though I suspect I'll be laying down this body for a season when the year turns."
