There's a chill in the air--more than a chill, an outright nip--but Jack has Georgia bundled up warm and snug and taken her for a walk around the lake. Upon occasion she insists on getting down from his arms and attempting a step or two on her own, but she's not quite mastered the art of staying upright yet.

Soon. Bebbehgoddesses don't crawl for

A little baby boy, about six months old, crawls over to Georgia.

Seems his mum had a similar idea. She's just behind.

Georgia peers at the newcomer. More babies?

Jack looks at Georgia with a big smile.

"Aah!" he says as his mum catches up. She also smiles at Georgia.

"Hello there."

Georgia clings to her daddy.

"Hello, Shufti," says Jack--the Green one. "Long timee no see. How are you doing, dear?"

She smiles as she recognises the father.

"Hello Jack." The baby looks around. "I'm okay thanks. This is my son Jack. I didn't realise there were so many of them when I named him."

"It's a very common name," Jack says with a nod. "You can call me George if you want, though. I use that name too."

She laughs.

"Or I could use Jack's middle name, Theodore."

A smile. "I can't remember your daughter's name, sorry."

"You could call him Teddy-Jack," he says with a solemn nod at the baby.

"She's Georgia. Georgia Rose, for Gil's mother."

"Is Gil Georgia's mum?" She asks, not having come across such rather unusual parenting arrangements before.

"No--Gil is my husband. Georgia's mum is my goddess, Sheela."

Yes, it's confusing. They're gods. They're not supposed to make sense.

She nods, smiling.

"So she is a half god, like Gabriel?"

"No, she's a full goddess." He beams.

Don't ask. Again: gods.

"Oh... okay." She smiles. "Sorry, I didn't mean to be nosy."

Jack Theodore looks up at Jack George and reaches out to grab his clothes.

"It's not being nosy," Jack says cheerfully and holds out his hand to Jack Theodore. "It's just hard to explain. Sheela is my mother and my daughter and my sister and my other half, and how it works in human terms is . . . well, it doesn't work in human terms.

"She's just my Sheela."

A very confused look.

"Um..." she stops short of asking whether this constitutes incest.

"Okay. So... that must make Georgia your sister, niece, granddaughter, and stepdaughter. And daughter."

"Yes," he says cheerfully. "Mostly just the daughter thing, though."

"Dadadadadadadadada," Georgia informs them solemnly.
