Rubbing her head, Sora slowly sat up. "I... think so," she said quietly, pain throbbing between her eyes as her forehead and bridge of her nose slowly turned red, then began to bruise.
His mind still boggling from his conversation with Vanessa earlier in the day, Carson headed for the library. He had known Milieux was strange, but time travel? Oh, he so wasn't telling his parents about that.
Carson had been expecting a lot of activity in the library, since classes were about to pick up again. He hadn't expected said activity to come in the form of books taking a kamakazi run at his head.
"Watch out!" Connor called out and swatted the book aside. A collection of comics about villains and crooks. "Great, they've started recruiting from the fiction section."

What she got was a copy of War and Peace (Part One, thankfully) to the head.
