His mind still boggling from his conversation with Vanessa earlier in the day, Carson headed for the library. He had known Milieux was strange, but time travel? Oh, he so wasn't telling his parents about that.

Carson had been expecting a lot of activity in the library, since classes were about to pick up again. He hadn't expected said activity to come in the form of books taking a kamakazi run at his head.

"Watch out!" Connor called out and swatted the book aside. A collection of comics about villains and crooks. "Great, they've started recruiting from the fiction section."

"This is so not what I came to this school for!" Carson said, ducking from another book. "Any chance we can recruit the self-help section?"

As if on cue, a cadre of Self Defense tomes charged in and drove away the attacking Evil Books.

"Sorry man, usually it's actually quiet in here."

"I should hope so, since it's a library and all." Carson looked around uncertainly. "Why are the books attacking, exactly?" He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to know, honestly.

"Mein Kampf is trying to take over the library, and it's got itself some minions."

"... Ah." Carson looked around again before deciding that the books weren't going to come back anytime in the next couple minutes. "So how exactly are the books attacking?"

Poor Carson, getting the Milieux Weirdness crash course all in one day.

"Mostly just throwing themselves at you." Connor said. "Sometimes they give papercuts though."
