Rubbing her head, Sora slowly sat up. "I... think so," she said quietly, pain throbbing between her eyes as her forehead and bridge of her nose slowly turned red, then began to bruise.
Connor leaped to her side, knocking the volume away with his bat. Beowulf and The Lord of the Rings (Annotated Edition) hurried to subdue the rogue book.
Sora smiled, even as the bruise began to turn black and blue on her head. "It's fine," she replied, "It's not your fault..." She gently touched her forehead, wincing.
Connor looked around, but it seemed that the coast was clear for now. "Well I'm sorry anyway. We seem to be having a bit of a situation in here today."
Sora nodded some, quickly finding herself surrounded at the feet by scared children's books and fairy tales. "This is so awful," she murmured, frowning, "What can we do?"
"At the moment I've got a few Ian Flemming Books checking things out to see precisely what's going on. I only just found out this was going on recently when the refugees started coming in."
What she got was a copy of War and Peace (Part One, thankfully) to the head.
She didn't stand a chance, hitting the floor, her straw hat flying off her head.
