Today was a great day, clear and cool, but not really cold, while weather changes from -6 to -26. Bright blue sky with few clouds, white snow and all trees are covered in thick layer of frost. I took some photos while I was going around post offices looking for the one that can take a package to USA.

The lure of warm and sunny day was too much, and I escaped for a long walk.

I took my favourite route along the riverside - over metro bridge, through reconstructed historical square and park, and then just walked by the river until I run out of sidewalk near cargo river port. According to Googe, I walked 7.2 miles (11.6 km) and it took me over 3 ( Read more... )

Shy kid in the corner. I wore glasses since my first year at school and was shortest person in class. I also was (and is) a loner and not good at making friends. So I was on my own, ignored even by bullies, not that we truly had them.

I don't know what's wrong with the weather this year. On 4th April we had over 2 inches of snow and today (12th) they promise us +23C. And there is a good chance that it will happen - it was over +10 during day since 9th ( Read more... )

For quite a long time there was a local celebrity here, on the left side of Omsk - a man, who took long morning runs. In any weather and at any time of the year, always in shorts and sneakers, with addition of a hat and fur-gloves in winter.
