Cold troubles
While I enjoy cold weather and have no problems with it, my sister wasn't so lucky.
She lives on her own, in a much older house then our parents and I. Also, while our house was switched to natural gas years ago, her still depends on underground gas holder that has to be refilled regularly. And that where the problem comes from - when cold came, people started to use their gas stoves to warm up, gas usage went up and nobody thought to change refilling schedule. And tonight, when temperature went down to nearly -30C, gas froze. Result - no gas for the whole apartment building (at least) until it thaws out. In a week, at least.
Good thing she has microwave and electric kettle. And now mother has one more reason to visit - to bring food to be heated in microwave.
And here are a couple of photos I took on my way from work. And it is not snow on trees, it is thick layer of frost.
