[And as Horatio is walking down the street to find his badge, gun, and the Welcome Center he senses he's being watched. Without his weapon, he frankly feels naked so he's a bit more on-edge than usual. Still, the best way to deal with being on edge is to not show it. Thus, he's going to try to keep on walking, albeit with a weary eye]

[...And thus, a rock impacts lightly with H's shoulder. Horatio isn't sure what to make of that, but he's going to turn and- is that a dog or a person? It seems to be some hybrid of both. That's odd-]

[And Caine, despite being from Miami, does not usually see blue hair on a Japanese boy. He doesn't focus on that though, he's got a bigger objective in mind. Still, seeing as the boy has been watching him... he's going to walk on over there, and look down at him-]

The Welcome Center.

[Kratos is by his favorite place. The wall. He's leaning there and looking at nothing in particular, more thinking about things, when Horatio comes into view. He hasn't seen him before, but he certainly seems collected for a New Feather. So, he'll be watching what he does for a few minutes.]

[We can assume this is after the Welcome Center as to assume that we won't run into the same problem he did with Minato there. Also, there's no need for a man to ask for directions twice.

And more importantly, how do you know it's a new feather with his sexy suit?

But all these points aside, H knows what it is like to be watched. He also knows, as a rule, people lurking around tend to be bad news. Still, even if he hasn't found his weapon yet, it's better to get to the root of the problem.

And thus, he turns to address Kratos-]

[New Feathers give off a certain vibe, you know? That lost, just got here vibe. Kratos can pick up suspicion in his tone, so he pushes off of the wall. Sure, he has a sword, but he's not making a move for it. He's learned that people tend to think he's reaching for it when he's just resting his hand on it.]

No. You simply seem to be handling this situation calmly. That's more than I can say for many of the new arrivals here.

[And now that his position as shifted H can see that - is that seriously a sword that this man is wearing out in public? Clearly there are all sorts here. H pauses there before removing his sunglasses for dramatic effect:]

Honored to be such an oddity. [And that last part is almost sarcastic with a very keen little glance in the direction of said sword]

[Sometimes, coincidences happen. Coincidences like a certain young woman happening to overhear that comment just as she walked by. Maybe it was her snark-alarm that went off. Maybe it was this undeniable understanding that there was someone else in Luceti who could wear shades with attitude. Whatever it was, it made Buffy stop and squint.]

Don't let the wings fool you, this place is pretty much nothing like Heaven. More..other-place-ish. Y'know, the bad one.

[They do indeed. H is very familiar with them, and thus is not terribly surprised to be the blonde bombshell there. Admittedly, if CSI is to be believed she looks like pretty much every girl in Caine's version of Miami, but he can turn to her there and make a pertinent observation:]

It seems- [And then a light pause, before in a less stern tone than he started with-] It seems much colder than that place, however.

[Not very well, apparently.]

Yeah, sadly? Our captors don't seem too fond off the classic fire and brimstone feel. But after California, chilly locales might as well be Hell. I don't know whether to be excited or terrified about the prospect of a white Christmas.

[She tumbles quickly into banter. This is partially because this guy with his decidedly not-white pants doesn't come across as New Feather to her. All the other parts? Well, that's just good old Buffy obnoxiousness.]

A rarity indeed in the sunshine state. [And that's a dry reply there. A dry reply indeed because this means that there are some good old Americans here-]

[...That looks really, really suspicious. Caine didn't want to go in there when he passed it the first time, because he didn't have his weapon. However, after going to the Welcome Center and making his intro and such, he we told this was the place to pick up his weapon. Thus, with the utmost of caution, he's going to walk on into the store-]

[...Oh come now, there's no way this is him. Horatio pauses there before, calmly-]
