First Week at USU (well, almost a full week)
Research - I am almost finished with my first week of my first semester at USU. So far, everything seems to be going reasonably well. My Little First Grader
I’m officially the mother of a first grader. Today was Maddisyn’s first day of school, which seemed to have gone pretty well. There’s a half hour window in which we can drop them off before school starts, and I got her there as early as possible so that I could try to help her ease into her new environment. Legacies Geekiness - My new character is SO much fun!
I feel like crap. I started coming down with it on the drive home from the PNW, it being whatever vile illness was travelling around Legacies last weekend. I feel like ass and I’m hacking up a lung, but such is life. I’ll get over it. Besides, it was freaking worth it.

Crafty Goodness (and other stuff)
My fabric came in! Yay! I’d ordered some medium weight linen in two colors a couple of days ago and they arrived super fast, which makes me happy. Several Weeks Mashed Together
So, here we are, in Utah. We had our great move across several states, once again. We arrived in town July 2nd, and moved into our new house on the 3rd. Empty Houses
It occurs to me, in preparation for our move, that we do not have nearly enough furniture to fill the house. We got rid of a ton of furniture when we moved to Memphis to begin with, and have slowly overtime gotten rid of more stuff, just to try to simplify things during our various moves. Utah, PNW and Legacies
Countdown to Moving Day: In approximately 17 days, we will be moving to the Cache Valley area in Northern, Utah. I’m so excited it’s ridiculous. We are currently working toward securing a place to live, since homelessness would kind of suck. I had one secondary years and years ago, that I stopped playing because I pretty much never got around to playing her (having hated dividing time between characters, and my primary character was always involved in other things). I sort of want to make a secondary character. This is strange since I typically hate the idea of trying to divide my time between 2 characters, and every time I think I just might go ahead and make a secondary I either re-write, or decide it’s not worth the effort.
