Thanks for your reply! So do you check for your cervix each time before you insert your cup? Because I feel like my cervix is always moving around and I'd have to check it every time, which seems like a pain in the neck....
no problem! I do check for my cervix every time. It's a wiggly volatile little fellow, so I have to keep tabs on it! It is kind of a pain, but since I wear tampons some of the time it's not that big of a deal. It's super convenient if I'm in the shower before bed, or if I'm at home in the privacy of my bathroom. But yeah, in public, I have no plans to dig around in my vag ;) Perhaps, in time, I will become more skillful at cup insertion and I won't need to pre-locate my cervix first in order to feel confident :)
i tried this today, put in the keeper, and went to the gym. my cervix was definitely in it, i'm 100000% sure. fortunately, my flow is light now, because when i got home and took it out, there was no blood inside but there WAS some blood on the pantiliner. argh, i feel like i will never get this right!
Hi, LadyCup user here! I've had my cup for three cycles now... or is it four? And it's working fine for me. But I did conclude that I'll need to empty it every four hours on my heaviest day. I don't mind, because I know for a fact that I'd be bleeding right through a tampon at least an hour before that!
Oh, and by the way: many of us can actually feel when our cups are full and need to be emptied. Just so you know it's possible.
I hope you'll get enough tips to help you out. Once you manage to get the hang of them, they're the best there is. And a three-cycle learning curve is not unheard of at all.
Maybe you need a different cup? I did have a large lunette when I my flow was very heavy and I still had leaks and accidents after about 4 hour sometimes. I also have a large Lilacup which worked well, but it is so soft it is hard to take out sometimes. My flow has gotten much lighter so accidents are rare, but they happen from time to time. The best for me has been a large Mooncup UK, which is difficult to get if you are in the US.
It takes time and practice. If you need extra protection, try cloth pads, they are way more comfortable. Keep trying, it is worth it.
I know cups work perfectly for a few people right away, but based on my highly scientific survey of reading comments and posts here, that's not usually the case, it can take a few cycles. Speaking to the Diva specifically, I still had trouble with it after several months and went with another cup - a huge part of it is having the right cup for you! I had the same problem as you - I absolutely couldn't make it pop open correctly. Turning the cup inside out seemed to help a bit, but of course it reduces the capacity slightly and makes the bottom smooth, so I don't know if that would help for you

good advice. this cycle, however, the keeper hasn't been behaving, either, and it's not that it got full too quickly. today, i wore it with a light flow and it was absolutely around my cervix when i put it in, but when i removed it later it was empty and there was blood on my pantiliner. maybe it's too small?
While my cervix bungee jumps from high to low and back again, it's more or less in the same location so I find that giving the stem/base of my cup a nudge rearward points the opening toward it and seats it properly almost every time. Once you establish where yours hangs out, a similar nudge in the right direction might also result in success

thanks for the tips. i did try letting it open and then pushing it further but it still didn't work. the types of folds don't seem to make a difference....

My girlfriend uses cloth pad backup on her heavy days, and it works really well for her.
