In the midst of an online argument...

So I read this post online about a grandma who potty trained her granddaughter. She taught the girl to clean her bottom with wet toilet paper. Flush, dip the toilet paper in the toilet bowl, then wipe. At school. WHO in their right mind does this??

It's hard to believe two months from today (12/21) my baby will be four years old.

We were talking about party plans yesterday.  I was asking Val what did she want and who to invite, etc.

We are okay.  No news on our house, but someone checked our neighbors and didn't notice anything significant with ours.  We heard lots of fences and sheds were damaged in our subdivision.  The fire station was demolished.  Lots and lots of trees down.

One month ago... July 6... Dr. Allen told my mom she had bone cancer. One month ago... we learned of the growth on her lungs.

August 6... one month to the day... we buried my mom. Today we buried my momma.

I can't believe my beautiful momma is gone forever. It doesn't seem real. I keep waiting to hear from her or see her sitting at the kitchen ( Read more... )
