To start Pleasantview's Month we want to open a general discussion about the featured hood

First impression of Pview? Soap opera. From day one with the game (hell, the prima guide) it was clear Pview was the place for soap opera goodness

I always thought it was hiding a dark side. It seemed to me like it would be the perfect place to recreate the movie Pleasantville, esp. after we got bowling alleys

I really like Pleasantview. It was the first hood I played, way back in 2004 and I played with it for quite some time before I started playing Strangetown and Veronaville. I added a few custom families but I mostly stuck to the Maxian ones. Now, with my combined hood, I play everybody but they're all Maxis or Maxis offspring

I quite like Pleasantview. It was the first hood I played, before moving on to Strangetown. There is a lot of soap opera-type drama going on but it doesn't seem to overwhelm the town. It's kind of like a something brewing in the belly of the hood and you can either let it build up or release the steam, depending on style of play. I tend to play all my hoods with multiple families on a fairly strict one week rotation, so when I play there everyone gets some love

Pleasantview has been my "experimentation" hood in the past. For example, when I downloaded ACR for the first time I went there to test it out. When I downloaded a hacked telescope I went into Don Lothario's house and made him get abducted (and eventually have twin alien babies... he's a really good dad, although I stopped playing when the babies became children.)

That's about all I have done. I've cloned the characters and will use them in random storylines here and there (like Nina and Dina in my Pale Horse Riders story) but that's it. I need to do more. :D As much as I like drama... ;)
