Hey peeps.  I picked up a bass guitar a few weeks ago and started learning my friend Max's tunes.  Well, our second gig is this saturday at Tazza Fresca, a coffee shop located at 37th and Guadaloop from 8 to 9pm.  No cover, just buy some tea or coffee or whatever.

Unfortunately, my stepmom got hit with another round of cancer.  She overcame her first bout with it 5 years ago and the doctors, so far, are giving promising comments.  Anyway, like Lemony Snicket, a series of strange events was going to bring me to Waxahachie next Thursday (like not this one but the next one), so, I'm going to make a Dallas ( Read more... )

So, due to odd circumstances, I now have two trombones, a piano, an accoustic guitar, a classical guitar and now, a bass guitar.  I picked up the bass with the amp on Easter for only $150, a great deal (the amp alone is probably worth $200).  Now I'm learning bass parts to Max's tunes and we'll be having our European tour sometime this fall.

Apparantly I thought they were going to play that Saturday, but they actually played that Friday.  Curse misinformation.  I was really hoping to add them to the list of best concerts I had attended.  Another day perhaps.
