Doesn't it take 3 points to amp to unlock booster? I think I am going with the early booster idea. It sounds very valuable. so..that would mean I should do 3 into Amp, 11 to booster and then max IS?

I went with your advice on slow and it has paid off really well! So, I'd also like to thank you on that one man :)

Doing 3 Amp is no biggie because it unlocks 2 things, Booster and Seal ( ... )

I can see how it works out. Slow is definately a valuable skill. More so over MP eater. A few of my friends say that by maxing slow, I ruined my second job build but, i've begged to differ on the premise that not everything can be frozen. Also, slow is great when you wanna slow monsters down from closing in on you and always keep them out of attacking range so you can hit them.

Seal looks important but, do I really need such a large amount of it early on? I figured my build could look something like this:

70: 1 AMP
71: 2 AMP 1 Booster.
72: 3 booster.
73: 2 IS. 1 seal.
74-78: 12 IS.
79: 3 booster.
80: 3 booster.
81: 1 booster. 2 IS.
82...etc: Max IS.

___

Your build looks pretty decent too. I can see how a combo of seal and speed would be great against Red Drakes, Macis..etc. I wouldn't find levelling impossible if I held off working on my IS between 78-86?

A few people have suggested it and I think it's a great idea. xD

just as long as you get your 3-4 amp within 70-72 you'll be ok. level 1 Ice strike can't be trained with :P

BTW, 11 booster and 19 seal kinda blows.. level 11 booster definitely does not last long, and every time you cast booster you get stunned, like an early level of holy symbol does. it goes away once it's higher level. you'll be training at vikings which can be frozen, so that much seal isn't even worth it - level 15 seal is 80% chance of sealing. the char i play will probably end up with 15 seal 15 booster, not sure yet i'm not the owner of the account :O

19 Seal? Huh?

If you skip Partial Resistance, do 11 Booster and max everything else, Seal has 20, the max.

Maybe they did their math wrong. 151 points - 11 Booster is 140, -90 for the 3 attacks is 50, -30 for Amp is 20, and there's 20 points for Seal.

I don't know where their error is...but some of these "guides" should be called "proposed ideas"...I've never been to the Amazon rainforest. I have a good sense of direction. I should be a guide. And I should write guides. LOL.

BTW, if you max Booster, something else doesn't get finished...meaning you have to do the build where Ice Strike goes to 21 (because that supposedly is the same range as 30 and the same freeze time), but that's lame since the Mastery is 45%

110 seconds of Booster isn't great, but neither is an extra 90 seconds, either. As long as you get the speed to +2 at level 11, that's the key thing.

I am getting that 11 booster is pretty key to making sure your build gets the right skills maxed.

I don't know how to quantify the +2 Speed of it, because like the formula for Heal, it's arbitrary and rather hidden...but it's not like...say Hands where it's the speed of it coming out. I really need to just do tons of hours to tell you exactly why it works, but it's like Hands. I didn't understand what it did until I was playing on Mages and Assassins that were vastly different levels, but training in the same areas ( ... )

Booster is a must at early levels. o_o Many people don't see this because they watch a couple of mage videos that run more FPS than they were filmed in, so they think, "OMG Shining Ray and Ice Strike and Explosion are so fast!"

I went 4 amp, a bunch in IS, and a few in booster then maxed IS out. If you go 11 booster after the amp, it takes you longer to get a good IS, and that sort of can be a hinderance to your ability to move up to the better mosters quickly. I had a friend who did booster before IS, and I was at Death Teddies and leveling up much faster since I had the 2 second freeze on IS (before the recent extension) a few levels before he did which worked to my advantage in the short run ( ... )

Wow! Thanks for your opinion on this. So, it takes 3 amp to unlock booster? Then put 3 into Booster and then max I.S. and around the same time get Booster up to 11?

haha it sounds like your build is pretty good. It's just a touch confusing at first I guess seeing that this is all new!
