Well, it's August 20 in my timezone and I've got several translated parts already, so kudos to those of you who finished ahead of schedule

Is there an automatic/mechanical way to add 12 seconds to each timestamp? It seems like something easy to automate (coming form a mathematician). If so, that would VERY EASILY convert Subs 1 to Subs 2-but-German, which would be fantastic. :D
It definitely sounds like there should be, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head! I know it can be done in Excel but Notepad is another matter entirely.
Ugh, Notepad...there is a search/replace, but if the timestamps are in minutes:seconds (as opposed to pure number-of-seconds) it might be a little problematic. *sighs* If I had more time I'd offer to just do the conversion myself, but I'm already waist deep in grad school stuff and haven't even received my beta yet!
Out of curiosity I've tried to open German subs in Subtitle Workshop, Subtitles Modifier and Subtitle Converter (I've previously worked with the first and just googled the second and the third), but all three progs say the subs are either corrupted or non-existent. Random .srt file from my PC opens fine. Is it just me or?.. FML
I'm not sure if this is helpful but I can read Chinese text, so replacing them with English counterparts wouldn't be of much difficulty (unless the sentence structures are completely reversed or something).
We haven't got the entire thing done yet, but when we are done, I'm going to release one entire film with the subs already added on to it for everyone. That way nobody has to add anything after that, they can just download and enjoy. :)
