It's been fairly quiet in our world lately. My mother received the ok to go on disability retirement, though she won't receive her first check until December. My sister is in some form of medical trade school, and apparently doing well. My father is still in remission.

Lots has happened in the last week and a half! Got mah new baby (embrodery stand...I didn't have a secret baby!), took a "mental health" day (really just a day off to stitch, but SHHH, don't tell my boss), and still managed to scour my house, and get ready for the Jewish holiday "Purim". I'm getting a Mark 2 floor stand, by Hearthside Crafts! I can't tell you how excited I am! After years of research, and no money, and then money, but neverending uncertainty...I'll be placing the order next week! I kept flip flopping because I have so many K's Creations pieces. UFO turned FINISH!
I just pulled my animal alphabet off the frame a few minutes ago. I'm very excited to have it completed after a three and a half year hiatus. You'll notice a small white space near the "A" for "Animal". There was a design there that said "Wild Ones", but I decided to leave it out because I wasn't all that fond of it.

Long time, no see!
My mid April finish date was blown to bits by an unfortunate resurfacing of CT. After a two week hiatus, however, I'm back. I've done some off and on work throughout, but wasn't really back to myself until two days ago.

Life's been peaceful lately. I haven't done much, other than clean the house and cross stitch. The lake beneath the whale is now complete, though I think that somewhere along the line, I miscounted. I'm now starting the left side border, and will work my way to the lake. I'd rather have to extend the blue lagoon, then to have to try to splice ( Read more... )
