Dani liked the cold. To a degree, anyway. After spending ten months on her own in Russia, she was quite used to it. Even after two months in Malaise, it hadn't seem to change much. She had to wear a bit more clothing than before, but other than that, she found the cold refreshing

His fingers and toes had tingled at first, then became painful and were now starting to go numb, along with his lips and nose. Hisoka's body shivered hard, trying to warm him up to a proper temperature, but the shaking stopped after a few minutes. The colder he felt, the bigger the image of a giant hourglass, sand running out, appeared in his mind. Did this mean his time was up?

Relief at death's approach mixed with Hisoka's survival instinct. But by now, his clothes had frozen and he couldn't really move. His closed eyelids fluttered when the snow covering him moved away and something - someone? - bumped into him. The sound of a girl's voice startled him and made him open his eyes.

Although he couldn't feel his lips to speak, he could still shake his head when she tried to drag him. He wanted to be left out here. He was so close to not hurting or being a nuisance to everyone anymore! Hisoka dug his heels into the ground weakly and started to cry. The tears melted the snow and ice crystals on his face.

"Hey, stop moving! You're making this hard!" Dani snapped, still dragging the boy over to the entrance into the building. "At least you're not that much bigger than me or this would be really hard." She muttered, pulling him up to wrap an arm around his chest so she could move one hand to open the door and pull him in. "HEY! I NEED HELP HERE!" Dani shouted. "THIS KID IS HALF FROZEN!"

Making it hard for her was the point. Hisoka kept struggling as best he could, despite barely having sensation in his body. The warmth from the strange girl's hand felt like burning against his chest, forcing him to cry harder. Couldn't she see he wanted to die?! His leg chose that moment to go weak again.

He slipped through her grip, couldn't catch himself in time, and landed on the snow again. The cold would take everything away. He'd been so close! Big green eyes closed tightly as exasperated tears fell.

Sasuke continued his quick paced walk down the hall, keeping an eye out for the room number he had been told. One of the other nurses had came by and told him to go help a therapist and two patients. Luckily, he hadn't been busy with other things or he might have been angry.

He put on a little more speed, arms holding lots of extra things. Since he heard that one of the patients had hypothermia, he figured it would be best if he brought the extra clothes and blankets he'd been given, just in case. If the boy did have hypothermia, he would need to be out of his frozen clothes as quick as possible.

Once he found the room, the raven haired male barely even stopped as he reached out with his free hand and pushed the door open, stepping into the room silently. ``Hello?``

He made Yuuko happier? Hisoka had thought she was already happy because she had Watanuki and most of the other kids here to spend her time with. They were certainly more cheerful than he was. He couldn't figure out what some of their problems were, even. In an attempt to move, he ended up falling off the couch and sprawled out on Belldandy's floor, completely naked.

And then someone opened the door. He whimpered, both scared and embarrassed, and tried to force his cold limbs to work properly. Who was this guy and why was he here?

"Hisoka!" Belldandy yelped worriedly, moving to pick him up,

Dani had turned her back just in time, looking up at the nurse as he came in and hurries over to take the clothes, hurrying over to Belldandy Hisoka, trying not to look at Hisoka as she held out the clothes.

He'll probably have to be taken out again for the warm bath, but for now, Belldandy pulled the clothes onto Hisoka. "It's okay, Hisoka." She whispered and looked at Sasuke. "A doctor or a nurse?" She asked.

``Nurse,`` he answered quickly, a scowl crossing his face when he saw Hisoka fall to the floor. Surely he couldn't be that bad, could he? He'd been found way before a comatose state, so he wasn't near as bad as the last `trying to freeze themself' case.

Sasuke moved forwards swiftly, kneeling down and setting the blankets over the fallen boy, reaching out to take Hisoka's arm with his hand and using his fingers to find the other's pulse. Once found, he listened intently, ignoring all noise aside from the throbbing he felt more than heard.

Hisoka's pulse was slower, but it wasn't very faint at all. ``He should be fine with those extra clothes. Also, a warm bath would be good,`` he paused, looking towards where he heard the tea being made. ``Sugar in his tea will warm him quicker too. I will not leave until he is stable, but I need to moniter his pulse and breathing.``

Sakura ran through the halls, clutching her medical bag tightly. A nurse had come to her moments ago to tell her Hisoka had been found outside in the early stages of hypothermia. It had been a very long time since she had last felt so panicked over a patient. And even back then she'd had Shishou to depend on. This time, it was her alone

"Yuuko won't care what Belldandy says about her if it helps Hisoka!" Dani snapped at Sasuke, glaring at him

Sasuke kept his face stern, looking towards Dani and shaking his head. ``If you can't keep quiet, I will ask you to leave. I know what I am talking about, seeing as how I work here and you do not.``

He huffed lightly towards the crying child, bringing his hand up which was covered with his sleeve and wiping at Hisoka's tears. The boy didn't have to be so upset about something so small, though he didn't know what was wrong exactly. Lowering his arm after a moment, he rested on his knees and blinked when he heard the door open again.

His head turned, dark eyes glancing over his shoulder towards the nurse before she was at his side now. He raised an eyebrow in curiousity, wondering who exactly this person was. For some reason, he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he'd remember eventually.

``He's doing much better,`` he replied, looking back to Hisoka once more then towards Dani. ``The tea, please. Even if we have to force him to drink it, it would be best to get the sugar into his body.``

Every touch made him flinch and pull away. Couldn't they leave him be?! Hisoka hissed painfully when his chest began to ache, but he stayed sitting down. In their bickering over him, they hadn't tried to get him in a warm bath, so only his skin had warmed up.

"No tea. I don't want-" He couldn't finish speaking because his chest suddenly hurt too bad. It ached to breath. It probably had before, but he'd been trying to make them understand and hadn't noticed it.

Hisoka's vision went fuzzy and he slumped over, barely conscious. The teen's pulse and breathing had slowed; the shock of still cold blood pumping through his heart, combined with extreme stress, had made it beat irregularly. If he didn't get some warmth to his insides, his core temperature wouldn't rise and he could still die.
