A good last day...
I am so glad that I pushed Jim to get practically everything done yesterday so that today we can say goodbyes and get a good night's rest before we hit the road for our journey out west. We all slept in this morning so that we'd be chipper at 0600 tomorrow morning. It was nice just to cuddle and not have to get up for some obscenely early "clearing ( Read more... ) -
Day 2 to departure is done!
We accomplished:- Cleared Housing
- Went to OCB to turn in the keys to his office and say good-bye
- Cleared Tri-care dental
- Cleared Finance
- Went to the flight line and cleared security, ADP, 1SG & Commander
- Picked up flight records and Jim's x-rays
- Said some good-byes to folks at the flight line
- Got my haircut at the mall & bought DJ another video game ( Read more... )

Packing & Loading FINISHED!
Wh00t!!!! Yes, it is true... the Interstate team arrived at around 0830 (8:30am) and they rolled out of FTCKY at 1830 (6:30pm) so it might have taken them 10 hours but they managed to get it all on the truck & tightly packed. There was barely enough room for their hand trucks and remaining furniture pads! LOL! ( pack ‘n go details…it’s all good! ) -

The stress is almost too much...
Oye.... the stress of this move is really taking a toll on each of us. ( Cut to save your friends page... it is sort of a long one... ) -
Update: Packing & Loading Day 1
So it is now 1:30pm... the movers finally showed up and started boxing things at about 12:30. It only took an hour for the two man crew to realize that there was NO WAY there were going to finish in time for their afternoon apointment so they called in reinforcments... all they got was ONE additional guy and some more boxes. Let's see... yesterday...- Bought landscaping materials
- Uplander recall repairs done
- Picked up my diploma (& found out that if I change my address with APSU to my WA one, they will charge me out of state tuition... so what they don't know won't hurt them....bah!)
- Pulled out my fountains from the landscaping, planted a tree and two plants, and laid ( Read more... )

Oh Joy... so the truth comes out
So the transportation gurus (Carl & Larry) came out.... final ruling: We just need to move some of the boxes from DJ's room and stack them in the available free walls so that they can maneuver easier. I am so glad they arrived safely, especially since at one point in their travels, I75 came to a screatching halt b/c the police shut down the road b/c the town they were heading into was hit by a tornado!
