Packing & Loading FINISHED!

Wh00t!!!! Yes, it is true... the Interstate team arrived at around 0830 (8:30am) and they rolled out of FTCKY at 1830 (6:30pm) so it might have taken them 10 hours but they managed to get it all on the truck & tightly packed. There was barely enough room for their hand trucks and remaining furniture pads! LOL! Cameron, Paul & Eric were just awesome! They didn't even grumble about how much shit the other company (Leek) had left unpacked or uninventoried (well it was done but some of it was done improperly)... they just went about packing the remaining stuff, reinventorying all the boxes, and systematically loading it all onto the truck. I am SOOOOO pleased with those guys, they rawked! I think my only remaining nervousness is that the truck has the potential of beating us there, if it does we're gonna feel REALLY GUILTY since these guys were soooo nice. You might wonder why I say that but here is the deal, a family from Nashvegas went on the truck before our load. So in order for their shipment to be delivered ours has to come off the truck. That means we need to be there is accept immediate shipment OR they are going to have to offload the whole truck into a storage unit, and then when we call for it (like a day or two later) they will have to reload it all onto a truck, drive it the 20 miles to our place and then unload it all. That will make for a very unhappy crew... and we really liked these guys! LOL! On the other end it will be two other guys but the driver (Cameron) will be the same. He was really nice and funny... he told us all about him & his wife's Pom (Pomeranian) dogs and how much they love living in WA. He was great!

Anyways, after the truck rolled out we got busy sweeping, mopping, and finishing the remaining painting and prepping for tomorrow morning's housing inspection. We got almost everything done but we are still apprehensive since we have received such conflicting orders about how we are supposed to prepare the house since it is "going down" for a renovation. We had to run out late this evening to try and find some sort of grass seed, fertilizer, and mulch mix to fill in the dead spots in the grass. Hopefully the person they send out for the inspection will be too distracted to care and just “clear” us. (The housing folks are working 24-7 to move their entire operation from their current location to just down the road in the new “Hammond Heights Community Complex.”) Our fingers are crossed and the poo has been patrolled…lol!

Mom & Kiki left this morning and they arrived safely in MI. And of course Kiki came home to a bit of a mess so she wasn’t thrilled, not to mention she works in the morning. And mom… well she has to go back to work too. But at least she gets to see us again in September. LOL! THANKS for helping us so much ya’ll! *hugs*

So another day in the PCS move to Fort Lewis is down in the record books. 2 days left and we roll out of town. Tomorrow we have tons of appointments but hopefully it will all be done by 4pm so we can visit with a few friends. We shall see!

Side Note: Bought hubby a gift today for tolerating my nuttiness this past week… it is a lazer carved military challenge coin display shelf that has his current unit crest and stuff on it. I set it up (put all his coins on it… we are hand carrying those things…lol) in the room for him to discover. He was mongo happy, kept glowing about it all evening. Score one for the stressed out and a bit neurotic wifies! LOL!
