This is the latest update I've received regarding the government health care petition I asked everyone to sign a couple weeks ago:

At least, that's how my parents tell it.

Everyone - sign the petition at http://www.freeourhealthcarenow.com/form.php to tell Congress that the American people doesn't want "government option" health care!!

The author of Queen of Glass now has an agent!!!!  This is amazing and wonderful and spectacular news...  It's really cool to be a part of watching her reach her dreams in such real ways, especially after all these years.

It also doesn't hurt that I was already feeling pretty happy when I saw the news.  : )

This break has turned out to be quite full so far!  Looking back, I can label each week or half week of it: a week of rest, a week of family, a half-week of friends, about a week of math... and now about one week to go, but which will probably be labeled "job searching."

Well, I'm back home safe from Cincinnati!  The real safety issue was actually the trip there, but I guess we must have survived that, too.  ; )

It was fun spending time with that side of the family again, and we had some good times, including watching A Christmas Story (which I'd never seen all the way through before), going out to see a performance ( Read more... )
