How long has it been since I have posted anything much on here? Seems the only times I seriously sit down and compose my thoughts is when I am out sitting next to the campfire. I guess a lot has happened since my last post. I can't really recall where I left off ( Read more... ) -

At what point does customer service become a joke? It only took 1 1/2 hours on hold to get ahold of somebody at Microsoft, and that was after my first try and getting disconnected after 1 1/4 hours, calling back and getting a recording that just hung up on you, and sending an e-mail that got a "We will get back to you in a week or two" response. Holidaze
Christmas was Christmas. Went back to the parents and had a very late breakfast on Christmas Eve day. At least this year there was no drama about bringing anybody home because I don't really have somebody. Potential, but stilll trying t get a feel for things. It's nice to get to se everybody and always, good food, but just seems like something ( Read more... ) -
BRAINZ!!!
Not sure why, but this entire week I have not been sleeping good. Sure, I lie down in my bed when I typically would, but instead of drifting off to sleep, I seem to just be laying there. I seem to bear witness to every hour ticking past on my clock. Found myself listening to radio programs I previously did not know about. But very little ( Read more... ) -

Today's adventures took us inland away from the lake we have been spending our time close to. We headed to Sudan, MN, home of Sudan Underground Mine State Park. This was an ion mine that closed up shop in the 60's.
We got there with almost perfect timing for the noon tour. There was a short video introduction then they loaded the group into the ( Read more... ) -
Grand Portage
A good exhausting day today. Drove up the lakeshore until we got to Grand Portage. We were starting to wonder where the state park was as we were coming up on the border patrol checkpoint. Then, I saw the turn off for it almost right in front of the check.
