THE DAY HAS COME.

It's still hard to believe that my show is back to the way it used to be (and that I'm recapping it again). And, if possible, it's seems to be even better this time around - at least if the season premier is anything to go by. In other words, EMILY PRENTISS PWNS EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING (and gays things up in the process).

OMG! So bloody excited you recapped this episode asap - I couldn't wait to read it, because hot damn! Someone else needed to squee over how 'The Emily Prentiss and JJ Hour' just keeps getting better.

What I have learnt from Criminal Minds so far:

1. Emily Prentiss gays up everything. It's just like the Midas touch, but she BAMFs it up to the nth degree.
2. Awesomeness is measured in units of Prentiss (am I quoting you now? I am sure my brain didn't just think that up, because I am pretty sure it shorted out once I saw Prentiss back in her rightful place, which is on my screen)
3. Fact: Emily Prentiss is awesome. (But I agree: someone really needs to update her wardrobe. In a side note: remember that awful leopard thing she was wearing when JJ was cajoling her to go out with Mick? Simply awful.)

I think I've covered all the important points.

I was so beside myself after seeing the episode that I completely missed everything that happened during a lecture I had to attend this morning. SUCH PERFECTION, SHOW.

1) She totally does! She has the gay touch.
2) I have absolutely no idea, but I'd love to take credit for the quote; it's fabulous. *g*
3) Yesssss. (and OMG, don't remind me of that hooker 'exotic' look)

Yes! I also like it that it's Reid who has the most difficult time to adjust to Emily being back. <3

Also, on a side note, when Morgan said "I don't want to get JJ's hopes up" my brain went "He doesn't want to get her hopes up because Morgan KNOWS that JJ is hopelessly in love with Emily and that false hope would kill her"

Yes, this! I thought that, too. Between feeling really bad for him that he didn't know Emily's really not dead.

I was tumblring like a boss during the episode. Seriously I didn't even bother to crop the excess parts because it didn't matter XD

JJ looked HOT. And no fringes.

Oh yeah the way JJ profiled was kinda.....blunt? I dunno, but maybe BAMF JJ is better then JJ crying all over the place (season 4, looking at you)

JJ AND EMILY. Oh my god, did not expect them to have such an awesome scene (with mandatory touching of course) I hope we get to see flashbacks of like, JJ and Emily communicating in Paris.

Lol at the "long story" part. See, I knew Will was cheating with the nanny. (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE)

I just love how canon it is. Seriously. You fail at subtlety.

All this talk about Emily's fringe-less look, I'm scared we're going to jinx it. But no, I feel it'd be too Season 6-ish if she cut her hair like that again, so...

Ugh, don't remind me of the cry!JJ. It was awful there for a few episodes after she got back from maternity leave.

We got so much more femslash than I ever dared hope. And the hand on shoulder! I CAN'T EVEN. I could look at those gifs non-stop. Keep this up, show! <3

Commenting just now, 'cos RL interferes with fandom flailing.

OMG, I don't know where to start. This episode was just such perfection, that I actually have faith in the show again.

1) I love the new grown up JJ. She looks hot and somehow even more in control. If this is the way Messer is dealing with the charaters, I'm loving it. Strong women characters being strong women. I don't know why, but I'm getting this whole new vibe from JJ. And it's a hot one.

2) I think my entire first half of the episode (about) went with waiting for Emily to come back. I'm impressed with your knowledge of the plot. I still have no clue what happened, except that Emily is back.

3) That scene, with Emily coming back, was done to perfection. I cannot underline enough how much I loved the way Emily was hesitant when she stepped into the room. And Emily's little nod to JJ and Hotch4) Damn but I think Emily hugged everyone in the room and they just cut it so that they showed only Reid and Morgan... But at the same time, I love Morgan's reaction. And
