THE DAY HAS COME.
It's still hard to believe that my show is back to the way it used to be (and that I'm recapping it again). And, if possible, it's seems to be even better this time around - at least if the season premier is anything to go by. In other words, EMILY PRENTISS PWNS EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING (and gays things up in the process).

- Reid's hair is definitely better than the awful mop-like do he sported a few seasons ago, but I have to go with Kristin on this one: it's still not good. :p
- I'm convinced that Morgan is an Emily/JJ shipper. He's witnessed Emily's hopeless crush from the beginning anyway.
- The scene where Emily appears at the doorstep of the briefing room, I didn't see Morgan's reaction as selfish in any way (although I still think he's a bit of a douche); he just seemed absolutely overwhelmed by his emotions after seeing Emily alive again.
- If JJ doesn't kick Will to the curb, I'm going to have to cut a biatch.

I 'm so glad to be able to resume my CM ritual. Watch CM and then relive it through your femslash eyes the next day. Woo hoo....it's like Season 67 never happened!
Thanks girl!!

Aww, I'm glad you're still enjoying the recaps! I definitely love doing them again. <3

This episode has to rank right up there with the most femslashy of the femslashy eps. Even more so now I now that they've been in contact this whole time and the big smiles and 'I wanna sex you up' looks weren't just because they hadn't seen or spoken in months.
I couldn't work out the mother's accent either. She sounded more English than Irish except when she sounded Australian. Very odd.
Strauss was unusually pleasant this episode and I rather liked that (it makes her far more interesting than just having her be the nasty every time).
Now I need to go back and re-watch the Emily and JJ scenes a time or two...

It truly was one of the most femslashy episodes ever, and definitely the femslashiest in a long, long time (I don't think even "Lauren" quite mesures up to this one in that respect). I'm eagerly waiting to see where the show will go from here.
Well, I checked, and the woman who played the mother (Ursula Brooks) is from Australia, so we weren't too far off base. Slightly miscast, but...
It's fantastic that they're showing that other side of Strauss, because it makes her character more three-dimensional. She's not the usual black & white villain, which I love.

just 'cause I can
it's like a NEED
sigh...
and just b/c I'm an inquiring mind: have you ever thought of doing something similar with Lost Girl? Maybe not the subtext angle but something like all the snippets of Bo defending Lauren :)

As for Lost Girl, I've mostly let it be, because so many people on my flist do it better than me, and with gifs!
