THE DAY HAS COME.

It's still hard to believe that my show is back to the way it used to be (and that I'm recapping it again). And, if possible, it's seems to be even better this time around - at least if the season premier is anything to go by. In other words, EMILY PRENTISS PWNS EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING (and gays things up in the process).

Commenting just now, 'cos RL interferes with fandom flailing.

OMG, I don't know where to start. This episode was just such perfection, that I actually have faith in the show again.

1) I love the new grown up JJ. She looks hot and somehow even more in control. If this is the way Messer is dealing with the charaters, I'm loving it. Strong women characters being strong women. I don't know why, but I'm getting this whole new vibe from JJ. And it's a hot one.

2) I think my entire first half of the episode (about) went with waiting for Emily to come back. I'm impressed with your knowledge of the plot. I still have no clue what happened, except that Emily is back.

3) That scene, with Emily coming back, was done to perfection. I cannot underline enough how much I loved the way Emily was hesitant when she stepped into the room. And Emily's little nod to JJ and Hotch!

4) Damn but I think Emily hugged everyone in the room and they just cut it so that they showed only Reid and Morgan... But at the same time, I love Morgan's reaction. And Emily's. Though I (still) have some serious issues with Morgan, I appreciate the hell he's been through, even more than the rest of the team. Emily being sorry for it was just.... kudos to Paget for playing it just the way she did.

5) And then my brain exploded. Still searching for fragments and gray matter....

5.1) Holy hell, the femslash is back and there is just NO WAY they could've brought it back better. Yes, the information giving was a bit meh, but hey, they had to do it somehow... In consideration that it was Emily and JJ and that the writers gave the two a moment just to be together and connect deserves a standing ovation.

5.2) OMG, pls Messer. Get rid of the mistake they've named Will. And I'm saying this as a fan, not a femslasher, too. I do not like the character because of the way he's been written. Yes, I'm still bitter about the way he completely dismissed all of JJ's wishes and went 'alpha male' on her by not only announcing her pregnancy to everyone despite her wishes. I just. If someone did that to me (or the like as it's highly unlikely I'd ever find myself preggers), I'd a) slap them to next Monday, and then b) never have anything to do with them again.

5.3) And OMG, Emily's beaming, wide smile (from being so close to JJ) turning into a more subtle, yet smug one. My cheecks are sore from grinning too much.

5.4) That small moment of Emily being serious, and thanking JJ, while JJ smiles in a way that makes me think Maura is usually frowning at Jane. ♥

5.5) ♥♥♥ no words. just this:



6) Then there was something about Maura's uncle some Irish dude and then we're back as a team and OMG, JJ's hand on Emily's shoulder. Yes, show, you've made it clear you want to go back to the way you were in the second and third seasons. But please, do come up with more of this. Thank you.

7) Rossi trying to remove Emily's picture from the wall. It was a small moment, but it was so them. ♥

8) Oh yeah, Strauss. I enjoyed seeing her again. Love the new hair style and I'm not at all secretly thrilled that they're finally letting everyone (= the viewers who can't read subtlety) know she's not the Wicked Witch (though Elphaba is fab!).

9) I actually loved the speech. Yes, it's corny as hell, but it's the FBI oath and therefore I can forgive that part. I enjoyed the scene, knowing that during the shooting Paget kept tearing up (which was not good).

10) "Can I think about it." Oh, Emily. Why you so much perfection, woman? ♥

LJ wouldn't post my comment the way I first wrote it, cos it was too long. It finally happened. Epic comment was too epic.

Also, must add, La Oreja de van Gogh. So much grinning happening here. My poor cheeks will take weeks to recover from the last 24 hours.

1) After the episode, I can definitely see why A.J. wanted JJ's character to be altered slightly. She was such a badass and cool and hot and omg, brilliant! I'm all for this 'new' JJ.

3) Oh yeah! Also, I actually loved it that it was slightly awkward at first, because that's exactly how it'd go down in real life.

4) Oh, Morgan's still a complete douche, but that scene was wonderful. I don't think he was so much offended as he was simply shocked & emotional to have Emily back. It'll be interesting to see how he'll deal with Emily being back.

5.1-5) That scene was just perfect in SO many ways. The writers deserve much kudos for giving Emily and JJ a scene in which to re-connect and throw adoring glances at each other. And is it just me, or was there a hint of shyness in some of the interaction? It was a particularly nice touch.

And the whole Will thing. It's totally a chemistry issue for me; JJ and Will simply do not have any. Besides, the character of Will annoys me so much (and has done so ever since "Jones"), it's insane. That one instance you mentioned was so unbelievable! JJ should've dumped his sorry ass already back then. UGH, JUST GO AWAY.

7) I've missed the Rossi/Emily father-daughter interaction so much. ♥

8) Strauss is so fantastic a character. I love it that they've shown another side of her this past year, because she's way more realistic as a character like this.

9) Oh, I didn't say I disliked it, simply that it was insanely corny, heh. And it was definitely original, so points for that!

10) EMILY PRENTISS, THE MOST PERFECT WOMAN THERE EVER WAS. ♥

That's part of it for me, too. Also, in "Jones", when he was trying to be all flirty, my skin just crawled.
