Premise.

Lovestruck is a boys only romance game. It will be a primarily light-hearted game with romantic events. Primarily the game will revolve around first person network posts.

The characters wake up in a city that needs them to survive. The life and emotions of the characters will affect what becomes of the world around them, from the city to the wildlife. The world may start fairly dreary, but will become more magical and light-hearted as more characters arrive and relationships bloom. When the first characters arrive, the world will be as if it were the dead of winter, the buildings crumbling, and dying plant-life wrapped around the buildings. The city will appear as ruins. The sky will be gray. The animals will be skinny and wounded. Everything will appear neglected and abused.

As the characters stay, as they smile and laugh and live and love... the city will heal.

That is why, to the animals here, the characters are as good as gods. Not a one will react with malice, not even the angriest bear. Instead, as if it were a fairytale, from time to time the local wildlife may try their darnedest to hook up some characters. Not a problem as long as you don’t mind mice and birds underfoot.

It’s not all peaches and cream. There’s a reason the city didn’t have a soul in it and a reason the place looked so damaged. This world has monsters, dangerous creatures. There are only certain times the beasts can crawl out their lair to mount an attack, but characters will have the chance to defend their new home and friends. Characters will have a chance to take their shining armor and weapons from storage again. The animals of the city will do their best fighting the ghouls that attack and the characters can join them in the war or not. Those that do not wish to participate in the monster slaying will have a sanctuary to retreat to during these times. Every time the ghouls are fended off, the city is given a chance to heal.

This city is magical. The world is magical. What it is now, is not what it will always remain.

Arrival.

It starts with a stray thought. “One day I’ll find him,” your character thinks. This could be normal for your character or it could be the strangest thought to go through their mind. Regardless, it’s the start of the tumble and abruptly your character feels like they’re falling into the sky.

Then he wakes up in a bed. The sheets are covered in dust and bits of debris. The room is in disrepair and disarray, there may be gaping holes in the wall or broken windows or only cobwebs in every corner. The electricity is out. It's freezing and the sky is dark. For those in rooms with broken walls, there will be snow in their bed and on their floor. Despite all the ruins around them, your character will find his communicator in his hand and the key to this particular apartment beside him.

As he wakes, perhaps he’ll hear the pitter-patter of small animal feet scurrying or the chirping of birds at his window. High on the outside of the building, the snow-covered sign is still somehow standing. ' Welcome to Lovelane Apartments.'
