She picked up her phone and contemplated calling Bartholomew, but then it occurred to her that seeing him would probably put mixed feelings in her head about Ethan. She really missed Lo, but she knew if she talked to him then Ethan

Joshua's cellphone jolted into life, vibrating with a loud growl. He glanced down at the number, told Jennifer he would brb on instant messenger, and slid the cellphone up as he put it to his ear.

"Yo. What's up, my main squeeze?" he said through a grin, obviously making an attempt to use shitty ghetto.

[timebombe]

"HOLLA' HOMESLICE. IT'S JOSHUA AND YOUR MAIN GIRL FER SRS." Joshua made no motion to soften his voice, practically yelling into the phone.

Lylith rolled her eyes and added quietly. "I'm here too, if you can even hear what I'm saying over Joshua. He's quite... enthusiastic apparently."

"I know. I highly doubted that you gave Joshua your phone.." He could hear Joshua laughing, and he wondered why it was Joshua over there, when he didn't even like Lylith like that? Shouldn't it be Lo sitting with her, laughing? This was all wrong.

Masking any attitude, Lo asked, "What are you two up to?"

"We were wondering if you wanted to come over... if you're not already busy of course."

[timeunchained]

"No, I"m not busy. I'll come over.. just give me a bit. My car broke down so I need to walk." Which didn't matter, he'd still get there relatively quickly...

"Y-You don't have to. If it's going to be trouble for you then... " Her sentence broke off when she remembered that he was a vampire. "Oh, yeah. Um... well, I'll see you in a little bit. Be careful though."

"Don't worry about me," he mumbled, voice thick with angst as always, and shut the phone, cutting off whatever his gregarious (meaning, in this case, loud) friend had started to say

Joshua perked up a minute before Lo arrived, his eyes lighting up. It almost seemed as though his nose twitched.

"Lo's here~"

"Just how do you know that?" She raised and eyebrow and walked past him into her room, biting her lip. "Bartholomew?"

Bartholomew was just then climbing over her balcony railing, straightening his jeans. When he looked up, Lylith was at the doorway. His words, though silenced by the door separating them, still showed his surprise. "H-hey."

Lylith just stared at him for a minute then turned around and looked at Josh. "Wait, how did you... ah, I get it. So, you're a vampire too?"

It didn't occur to her at this moment that a vampire couldn't drink from another vampire. She was too caught up in trying to figure out how Joshua knew Lo was coming.

Bartholomew shook his head, opening the door to let himself in. "No, he's no vampire. He's got more bark than a bite," he explained. raising an eyebrow at Joshua.

Joshua snorted, crushing his coke can in his grasp. "Yeah, no way am I a dribbly vampire. I'd rather be a werewolf - so much cooler." He disregarded a muttered snap about 'wet dog smell' from Lo and just shrugged. "I knew he was coming. That's all. We're BFFs, man. I can just tell."

"I see. So are you two going to end up breaking any of my furniture, or can you behave?" She smirked and sat down on her bed, pushing the button on her remote that caused the panels on the wall to open up and reveal her TV.

"We can watch a movie or something. I don't have many video games, but we can connect to the internet and play games."

Bartholomew shrugged and sat next to her, sandwiching her between him and Joshua. "Video games with Joshua is a dangerous thing. Let's stick with a movie."
