I'm leaving for my holiday tomorrow and I cannot wait. July was unusually busy - the busiest July I have ever had. I'm really looking forward to having some time off. I took a week off work -- well, almost. I only taught 6 am - 9.30 am and spent the rest of the day with my sister Beth and Eda. My other sister is on her holiday right now so I get to have her for 2 full weeks. :) Beth really wants a dog of her own so I've been trying to show her how much responsibility it is to take care of one. This is probably my new favourite summer dessert. Chia pudding with seasonal fruit -- it hits the spot when I'm craving something sweet and at the same time it's healthy and light. Perfect for summer.

We were lucky enough to see this garden during last year's Open Garden Squares Weekend. It is right by Tate Modern and it's rather fantastic that there's such an oasis of peace and quiet right in the centre of London.

This was my first venture to North London -- but definitely not the last. I didn't see much of Highgate but I fell in love with what I saw. I took these pictures on the way from the Archway tube station to the Highgate cemetery.
