I went on a photography assignment tonight. It was given to me by the pro I met last weekend, Andrea. I needed to learn correct exposure and the only way to do that is to put my camera on manual mode and pay attention to the light meter. When taking photos at local events, as I am inclined to do, I'm often taking aim at complete strangers. Many readily smile for the camera. Perhaps it's something about the festival atmosphere that make people at ease with cameras. A few have shied away so I simply refrain from photographing them.
