Yes, I saw Star Trek. It was a thoroughly enjoyable movie once I got over JJ Abrahm's use of lens flares. I know he used them for an effect like 'the future's so bright I gotta wear shades' but it was too much. Every shot had flares. It wasn't like this in the original... or was it?

Push
A Heroes-esque movie about people with special powers and the government agency hunting them. The effects look good without being over the top.

Twilight
Yet another story of a vampire trying to be a good guy and protect his love interest. Meh.

Seen it. Loved it.

I read I Am Legend about six months ago and I really liked it. All the marketing behind the movie as if it were a summer blockbuster made me wary. I was convinced that it wouldn't be like the book and that would make it suck. On the contrary, Legend was a great story, even though it didn't follow the book. Friday night: Much Magic was played with Matt. There were three decks I either built or re-built. The nephilim deck didn't play right but it's got potential. Actually, I'm thinking of taking the nephilim out and leaving in the Transguild Couriers and playing up the multicolor theme. Radkos played well as did the Simic deck. Wow, wow and wow. The third X-Men is the best of the series. They left nothing to chance and held nothing back. That's all I can say without giving away everything. You MUST see it. Wow.

Took the little woman to the movies. She wanted to see Waiting, a comedy starring that funnyguy, Ryan Reynolds. The beginning was a bit slow, but once the dinner rush hit, it moved along quite nicely. Char assures me that events like what is depicted in Waiting do happen in the food service industry.
