Two more crochet projects to share and then I'll have posted all that I've completed at this point. First, an Ecru Green sun hat and then an Aqua Pink mobius wrap. Pics behind the LJ cut.
Thank you. The hat was a royal pain to make but it was worth it. I like it and it fits much better. The wrap was quick and fun. I used a yarn that was new to me. It's thicker than what I'm used to using. Very cozy but the open mesh keeps it from being too hot.
In your case, the hat may look familiar because I wore it at the July 4 picnic.
One reason that the hat took longer is that there's less margin of error in sizing for the hat than the wrap. The wrap is a little too big but it's still functional. The first stitching of the hat was a little too big as well but not functional. Not if I wanted to see while wearing it at any rate. So I had to start the hat over a couple of times. That, I understand. What I don't understand is why I had so many stitch count troubles. I do amigurumi. Successful counted stitches in the round is the most basic aspect of amigurumi. So why doesn't that skill translate to doing successful counted stitches for the hat?? It's a mystery.

I'm glad you said that because my first thought was "Why do I think I've seen this hat before?"
Really? The wrap took less time to do than the hat? Jeeps!
