The reverse single crochet stitch, a.k.a. the crab stitch, feels fundamentally wrong on so many levels. It's just not natural, I tell you. A crime against crochetery.

A while ago, ladysaotome asked if I was still crocheting. The answer is "yes". Quite a bit actually. What I haven't been doing is taking photographs of my finished projects. Mainly because most of what I've made lately have been clothing accessories which are annoying to photograph. One of the frustrating aspects of crochet projects is finding the right yarn. Here, I basically have 2 stores each of 2 national chains (Jo-Ann's & Michael's) to buy from. For Christmas, a friend gave me the 2013 Crochet desktop calendar. It has over 100 crochet patterns among its day-by-day calendar pages. The patterns cover many categories. I worked up one of the toys: Precious, the Panda whom I've named Ren-Ren.
