32.6 hours over 21 days averages to 1.5 hours a day. Not that long. But I wouldn't recommend a beginner tackle that long a project regardless. Always start with something small & easily finished for the emotional satisfaction of it all and to keep from being bored. I have no patience for super long projects either. You'll likely never see an afghan from me, for instance. I think you could easily do something small even with your "lack" of patience. I made my snowman in an afternoon, for example.
I like how the neckline turned out. If/when I make this pattern again, I may try a true V-neckline with no collar or maybe a bigger floppy collar with the current slit neckline. I can't believe that I just finished this project and am already thinking of the next time's variations. >_>
I don't think that's weird at all. I think it's perfectly okay to find more satisfaction in writing. Any positive outlet for creativity is good thing in my opinion.
I'm glad that the yarn's sparkle comes across. The picture doesn't do the real thing justice. It's more impressive in real life. The tree in the background was a pleasant surprise. I hoped hubby might catch it in the photograph when I chose that location to stand, but I wasn't sure if he could.
