First of all, I wanted to say that the killer of the priest has been caught and arrested today. He was a local. He confessed his crime. Apparently he recently became very interested in religion after failing in finding a job in Italy and losing his girlfriend too. He had questions, he carried around quotes from the Bible that upset him and he had ( Read more... )

I did touch her paws and she instantly took offense and got out of the cat "house".

A terrible thing about the priest, I'm glad they caught the man who did it.

Your projects look so delicious! I love cherries, so that looks particularly tempting. Enjoy the remaining fruits (ha!) of your labour! ;)

Yesterday when the murder of the priest happen it was a huge shock. I am glad and quite surprised they caught the killer so soon. It's still unclear how the cops got to him, since they picked him up from his apartment and he only confessed after hours of interrogation. And the witness, the old lady who sold candles in the church, didn't see him that well.

I have already enjoyed the tart... I should stop now, before I start feeling guilty for all the sugar...

Hehe, your bedroom looks pretty much like mine, the linden flowers occupy all the floor :))

It doesn't take long for the flowers to dry. But it's wonderful to live with them in the room!

Oh, that tart looks wonderful! I local store is having a sale on cherries, and I was planning on making a pie this week. I love tons of fruit in whatever I'm making. I always like to add a little more than the recipe says. Nothing like the sweetness and flavor of fresh fruit.

I've never made a jam or jelly before. Don't you need a lot of space for it?

Kitties are too cute~ I like grabbing at their paws. They get so annoyed, it's adorable.

For the jam, I just added 1 kg of sugar to 2 kg of fruits. I don't like jellies so I don't add gelatin or something like this. I boiled it slowly for a bit more than an hour. I let it rest. Today I will see if the syrup holds. If not, I will boil it a bit more. The result is a bit more than 2 big jars of jam.

Actually, doesn't sound like it's too complicated or needs too much space to work in. I always figured that sort of thing needed lots of room. I'll have to give it a try one of these days.

It depends on the quantity you're making, of course. I only make smaller quantities because I don't have other 'means' of boiling.
