First of all, I wanted to say that the killer of the priest has been caught and arrested today. He was a local. He confessed his crime. Apparently he recently became very interested in religion after failing in finding a job in Italy and losing his girlfriend too. He had questions, he carried around quotes from the Bible that upset him and he had

That cherry tart looks absolutely delicious. We only get fresh cherries over here around Christmas. I don't know of sour cherries, I'm guessing that they are just another cherry variety.

There are several types of cherries here: white (actually yellow), red, black (actually a red so dark it's almost black - they're also bitter and are better as a jam). We actually consider sour cherries a different species... Unfortunately they're only available for a short time and the classic red cherries often have some little cherry worms in them as well. I avoid them because of that. I plan to wash, de-pip and freeze some sour cherries for future tarts.

I'm glad they caught the crazy guy. There's no telling why some people do the things they do.

Shopping at farmers' markets is one of my favorite things! I'm not a fan of cherries, but I must say that tart looks wonderful!!

I am not a fan of cherries either, but I like sour cherries in desserts.

The killer was a religious lunatic who had a dream that priests were actually devils and God ordered him ti kill them and he saw this old priest and in his mind he looked like one from his dream and he killed him. He doesn't regret his deed. The number of crazies in this world is scary!

I'm glad to hear that guy was caught. Did they say what the motive for the murder was? Was he just crazy?

He was just crazy. After some personal failure and heartbreak, he became very interested in religion, in the obsessed way. He said he had a dream in which God told him priests were devils in disguise and he should kill them. He saw this priest and he thought he looked like the one in his dream. He asked for an interpretation of some Bible verses and not satisfied with the response, he punched the old priest in the head and when he was falling, he stabbed him in the chest. I am glad they caught the crazy man and terrified at how many people like this are out there...

That kind of stuff is so crazy! Because it's so completely fucking random that no one could prepare for it.
