I'm gradually recovering from the last couple of weeks. After doing the Albuquerque trip and the eight hour drive home, I had two days before I left on Wednesday for Pleasanton, CA, and the pleasant company of amberley and my usual social whirlwind with the Horde, plus a nice little Minicon at EndGame in Oakland.

So this week was the week of Jet's Spring Break and on the most part we were just home and putzing about and doing the usual things, and then on Monday Jet said at dinner time, "You know, if we're going on a trip during the vacation, we should probably plan it now."

John and I got to see GI Joe, and it was good clean fun. Hee.

... and managed to be very lucky today in dropping in on an eye exam for Jet today, and finding that they could give him half off his new glasses because we'd bought his glasses from him last year, on August 15th! *laughs* So we were lucky and he got a very nice new pair of glasses for his new prescription.

It's nearly the end of Jet's school year and things are going nuts. Just lots of things to take care of before summer hits, and hopefully the pool will open and we can cool off. I had a good day today... after a relatively rough night last night... just thinking too much about some stuff... and I had to be up at 7 to go with my boys to Lucille's our local cajun/creole breakfast/lunch restaurant for breakfast. Getting the cards out as I just got overwhelmed with all the things that I had to do. I wrote down 10 cards, each with most of the lines filled with ToDo items. No wonder I was feeling overwhelmed.

I blasted through a lot in the last three days, but my writing has really gone by the wayside because of everything else.
