When he said "So nice to be back in Berlin" right after singing in Russian...I didn't know whether to laugh or be worried... too soon, or no? I found his regular accent quite adorable as well. Thanks for sharing!

I think it's not meant in a bad way, merely as a comment on the fact that people of a certain age in the East are still more likely to know Russian, as it was taught in schools there, while people in the West generally don't know any unless they are "Russian Germans" - that is, people of German origin who immigrated recently from the former USSR. In a German video of this he elaborates that when he did the Russian bit somewhere in the North-West, no one at all sang it, and apparently in Berlin, some people did.

Well, a commonly used expression for how Dutch sounds to the uninitiated German person is "like a throat ailment". *ducks*

His Japanese is correct but sounds pretty, pretty weird. It sounds like the typical idea Germans seem to have concerning how Japanese is supposed to sound.
But I don't exactly mind. To me he is a very entertaining comedian and it's great that he has been posted here. <3

I really like him - friends of mine have the Ödipus on DVD, and it's really not just comedy, but the antique drama is handled quite seriously and respectfully.
