V. brief Hindi question

I know that 'ya' can be tacked onto 'bhai' (brother) to make it more familiar/affectionate. Is that generalizable? Can it be used sort of like "-chan" in Japanese, or like the diminuatives that are used with children's or women's names in many languages? (-ina, for instance).

Sorry for the lack of either devanagari or IPA.

No. Bhaiyya is the only case I know of that uses -ya.

I did say it was the only case I knew of. I've never heard this one or the one you brought up below before.
