When the contract changed at work, I did not get a good deal with the new company. I fought with them for the first year and it was stressful and unpleasant. I immediately began looking for another job, but in this area librarian jobs are few and far between. It's been three years since that contract change over, and I finally got another job. I was watching a Top 40 Metal Songs countdown on VH1 tonight. Now I have "You've Got Another Thing Coming" by Judas Priest stuck in my head. Not that that's a bad thing :) For some reason people seem surprised to learn that I like metal.

Around this time last night my right eye started feeling really irritated. I knew if it still felt that way this morning that I would have to go to the eye doctor. Today we had a dedication ceremony at work. We dedicated our building to our former state representative, Sherwood (Sherry) Boehlert. Because he had the job for 24 years and was well known and respected, our current Senator, Hillary Clinton, showed up. We have a chorus at work. My grandfather passed away in 2001. We still receive the occasional catalog and junk mail for him. Sometimes it seems like he gets more mail than I do :) Yesterday he got a summons for jury duty. Mom said she wanted to call them and tell them to let her know if he showed up :)

I went to Scrabble club yesterday and had one of the best games I've ever played. Normally if I break 300 I'm having a good game. If I get one bingo I'm having a good game.
