Where did my eye doctor go?
Around this time last night my right eye started feeling really irritated. I knew if it still felt that way this morning that I would have to go to the eye doctor. I suspected it was an eye infection. Last Fall I had two eye infections in a month. I blamed Chris's disgusting apartment, particularly his bathroom, for the germs that caused it. So this morning my eye was still red and irritated and I decided to go to the eye doctor. The first thing Chris said when I told him about it was, "You can't blame me for this one!" Thanks for the sympathy, Chris :) Anyway, I waited until 9 to call, but nobody answered after I let it ring five or six times. I called back at 9:30 and 10:00 and got the same thing. By 10:30 I let it keep ringing and got the message "Your call can not be completed as dialed". I had my mom try the number and she got the same thing. I figured they were having a phone problem, so I drove over there, knowing the doctor would see me. When I got there I saw a closed sign on the door. I looked in the window and the place was cleaned out. There were no glasses, no tables and chairs, and no reception desk. I believe my eye doctor went out of business and he neglected to tell me. Now in addition to needing someone to look at my eye, I had to find a whole new doctor. My general practitioner took me in to diagnose me. It turns out it's a scratched cornea, not an eye infection. How I scratched it I have no idea. I was just reading last night with my glasses on. I have to do some drops for a few days and wear my glasses for two weeks and I should be fine. I still need to find a new eye doctor, though. And Chris, I'm still blaming the two eye infections on your apartment :)
