YAY!!! I was so excited when I saw this. You have made me fall in love with another ship and if this ends badly it's all your fault lol.

I feel so bad for Elise, this does look bad on Kelly's side of things. He just broke up with Renee and now he's sleeping with Elise, and yes he likes her, but she doesn't know that.

I love Shay, she knows exactly what he did wrong and she's pissed at him too :)

I love the explanation you gave for why Kelly backed off, it makes sense messing with Peter's sister could cause a lot of tension at the station and Kelly just didn't really want to go through that again.

I was so glad he went to the diner and tried to set things straight. I'm so happy this will be more than a one shot! I can't wait to see what happens on their date. Now I'm off to read this again :)

Oh, thank god this turned out alright. I have been writing Mark/Lexie for so long, I was worried that when I began writing this, it would just be like that and that's not what I wanted at all - even if Mark and Kelly are a lot alike.

I was thinking. He has already gotten together with one sister of a fellow firefighter and we still have to see how that went but we all know it didn't end well. He really likes Elise but as we have said before, he loves being a fireman and he respects that "code". He wasn't able to help himself anymore though.

Elise is shy and a little drawn back but when she's with Kelly, he definitely brings something out of her and he gets a kick out of seeing it. She is going to be a bit hesitant around him for quite some time :)

I'm just so in love with this show right now and with Kelly/Elise. There seems to be no stories for them and it makes me sad.

I can't wait to find out more about about these two. I think Elsie would definitely be hesitant at first for a lot of reasons. Her and Kelly have the potential to be very complicated lol.

I was getting very frustrated because I can't find an icon of her. She has a very small part in the fandom but I'm hoping that will change. I just hope she and Kelly don't break my heart.

I was way too excited when I saw that you've finally posted the first chapter to this, and I'm already loving the fact that this will be more then a one-shot. But this was just freaking awesome and you've made me love the idea of these two together even more

Writing this just put a smile on my face because we really don't know anything about them but I love the idea of them together. Elise is a little shy and she is hurt because of what she thinks of Kelly but Kelly does something to her and he lights a fire underneath her. He does things to her that piss her off and turn her on and she feels so many different things with him. We will get to that :)

I love that he is avoiding Peter. Kelly could obviously take him but Elise is his sister and Peter is a firefighter and Kelly respects all of that. He is serious about Elise - he really does have his work cut out for him, showing that to everyone, especially Elise. But he wants her. Renee was just someone to pass the time with and I see it as kind of escalating and getting out of hand and now that he has had Elise, he is going to keep wanting her.

I can't thank you enough for reading and commenting and being excited for this one. I am so happy to be - finally - writing these two!

I love the idea of these two together because not only is Kelly different around her or treats her differently you can tell that Elise wouldn't take any of his crap. If he's had a bad day on the job she'd know exactly what say or not to say and if he's acting like an ass she'd call him on it...Kelly wouldn't get away with crap when he's with Elise and he needs that. But I can totally see that happening, she's mad at Kelly for doing stupid things or saying stupid things but at the same time she wants him lol

That's exactly how I envision Elise. She can be shy but she definitely doesn't take his crap. If he's an asshole, she's going to start calling him on it. She knows how much he loves his job and she understands the job since it was in her family but she's not going to put up with it if it is affecting both of them. That's why he needs. He needs someone to talk because he really doesn't have anyone right now - except Shay - and Elise will understand him. And he is going to try and understand her. He wants to. I got such a different vibe between them. He was attracted to her but I think it went beyond just a quick screw and never seeing her again.

He has his work cut out for him. Just because she wants him, she is still plenty pissed at him. Clarice is going to be staying with them and Severide spends more time away from the apartment because of it. He awkwardly asks Elise if she ever wants babies someday.

So excited to see that you are writing this fandom - I just know I'm going to enjoy what happens here far more than on the show!!!!

Looking forward to seeing more (soon hopefully - but no pressure lol!), love the foundations that you've put into place in this chapter and finding out where they lead :)

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from about Kelly (not cause of your writing) but he's such a complex character. In all honesty I haven't seen that many episodes of the show yet, but the fact that there are layers to him are is very clear from the beginning. And I guess that's what makes writing him so attractive.

And yes, your portrayal of Elise is great - the way some comes across is fantasic, yes as far as she's concerned she's made a mistake, but she owns up to that herself, doesn't hide from it but is simply determinded that she won't make it again. And from what you've shown on your version on Elise it's so easy to see that she's related to Pete.

From what we've seen of Kelly the challenge of her (not because she's playing games or anything like that) but simply because of her character, which will be good for him - after all, nothing good comes easy :)
