This was supposed to be a one-shot. It obviously didn't work out that way. I'm always so nervous dipping my toe into a new fandom.

I was way too excited when I saw that you've finally posted the first chapter to this, and I'm already loving the fact that this will be more then a one-shot. But this was just freaking awesome and you've made me love the idea of these two together even more.

I understood where Elise was coming from, just a few weeks ago he was planning to move to Madrid with Renee and now he's sleeping with Peter's sister. It does look bad for Kelly but I loved how confused he was by the way Elise and Shay were acting, his cluelessness was sweet and picturing him with Pouch was just adorable. And it was funny that you added in the bit how he was avoiding Peter at the firehouse, I imagine he might be doing a bit of that now lol.

I think the way you explained why Kelly had backed off made a lot of sense, Kelly knows how messy it can be getting involved with another firefighter's sister but I'm actually looking forward to see how Kelly handles keeping this a secret from everyone. But my favourite part had to be the end, Kelly knows what he wants and he's going to get it as long as Elise feels the same way...now he just has to work for it lol.

I can't wait to see what happens next, but until then I'll have to go back and read this one again :D

Writing this just put a smile on my face because we really don't know anything about them but I love the idea of them together. Elise is a little shy and she is hurt because of what she thinks of Kelly but Kelly does something to her and he lights a fire underneath her. He does things to her that piss her off and turn her on and she feels so many different things with him. We will get to that :)

I love that he is avoiding Peter. Kelly could obviously take him but Elise is his sister and Peter is a firefighter and Kelly respects all of that. He is serious about Elise - he really does have his work cut out for him, showing that to everyone, especially Elise. But he wants her. Renee was just someone to pass the time with and I see it as kind of escalating and getting out of hand and now that he has had Elise, he is going to keep wanting her.

I can't thank you enough for reading and commenting and being excited for this one. I am so happy to be - finally - writing these two!

I love the idea of these two together because not only is Kelly different around her or treats her differently you can tell that Elise wouldn't take any of his crap. If he's had a bad day on the job she'd know exactly what say or not to say and if he's acting like an ass she'd call him on it...Kelly wouldn't get away with crap when he's with Elise and he needs that. But I can totally see that happening, she's mad at Kelly for doing stupid things or saying stupid things but at the same time she wants him lol.

Kelly isn't stupid, he knows that if things ended badly with Elise it wouldn't just be between him and Peter...the rest of the guys/girls would inadvertently get pulled into all the drama and unknowingly end up taking sides and in job like there's there can't afford to be bad blood. But I really, really love the idea that Elise isn't going to make this easy for him, Kelly's going to have to actually put the effort into proving to her how serious he is. And I can just imagine Elise being the one that Kelly talks to about the whole Shay/Clarice thing lol.

I am so happy that you decided to finally write these two, and i'm so excited to see what you have planned next :)

That's exactly how I envision Elise. She can be shy but she definitely doesn't take his crap. If he's an asshole, she's going to start calling him on it. She knows how much he loves his job and she understands the job since it was in her family but she's not going to put up with it if it is affecting both of them. That's why he needs. He needs someone to talk because he really doesn't have anyone right now - except Shay - and Elise will understand him. And he is going to try and understand her. He wants to. I got such a different vibe between them. He was attracted to her but I think it went beyond just a quick screw and never seeing her again.

He has his work cut out for him. Just because she wants him, she is still plenty pissed at him. Clarice is going to be staying with them and Severide spends more time away from the apartment because of it. He awkwardly asks Elise if she ever wants babies someday.

Apparently on this week's episode we met Kelly's ex-finace's brother which will be interesting because we need to more about these characters. I love how this show teases us with bits of information about everyone but you have to keep watching to learn more lol and his dad was awesome last week.

That's exactly how I feel about Kelly with this, he's unbelievably attracted to Elise and it isn't just something he wants for one night or to get out of his system. He actually wants to see her again, he wants Elise to stick around so he can learn more about her and she'd be the perfect person for him to talk to - to have in his corner. I like that she won't take any of his bullshit, she'll call him on it and the first time it happens it'll probably throw Kelly off because he's not used to people seeing through his act.

The whole Clarice thing is weird, I just can't picture Severide hanging around in his apartment with a crying baby all the time. I see a lot of nights at Elise's place or more shifts at the firehouse lol (but I feel bad for Shay because I just get the feeling it's going to end bad on the show for her). I love that he asks the baby question, it'll completely throw Elise off.

I saw the pictures of the new guest star and I wasn't impressed lol I am excited to learn more about Kelly though. The more we know, the better!

Kelly is falling hard for Elise and we definitely haven't seen that before. We have just seen him sleep around and be a total whore - which I'm very tired of - and now, he has this girl and he is falling so completely for her. We will see more of them cooking together because I thought that scene was so fucking adorable.

Clarice is definitely going to crush Shay and Severide isn't allowed to hit a woman - especially a pregnant one lol

I know, I saw the pictures of the guest star and my first thought was "really?" lol. But anything that gives us more information about the characters has to be a good thing, like we now know that Kelly's parents are divorced and his dad's been married a few times I think.

Cooking is really Elise's passion and while she can't really get involved with Kelly's job she can easily teach him a thing or two about cooking and that scene just hooked me in for these two lol. He's going to be so excited like a teenager and all awkward around her because Kelly really likes this woman.

Nothing good can come of Clarice, she'll probably go back to her husband and just hurt Shay all over again. Kelly is really going to want to hit that woman but he knows he can't lol.

lol That was my reaction. "Really?" I'm with you though because I just want to know more about the main characters. Give us more, damn it!

Kelly is so adorably awkward around her because he really likes her and he has no idea what he's doing lol He just wants to spend time with her - no matter what.

I love Shay and Kelly. They just take care of one another and are one another's family.

I guess it's kind of good that they're not giving us all the information from the start, this way we have to watch lol. But I really want to know what happened to the ex-fince, does that have something to do with him sleeping around...I want answers damn it!

Who knows spending time with Elise might mean that Kelly actually learns a thing or two about cooking lol, and he's just going to be happy and smiling which will probably worry everyone else because they're not used to that Kelly.

I love Shay and Kelly because their relationship is appropriate compared to certain other shows (if you know what i mean lol) and you know you don't have to worry about Shay getting in between Kelly and Elise lol.

The guys at the firehouse are going to know something is up. He is smiling more than usual and he is just happy. He and Elise are hiding their relationship for the time being and he isn't sure when they will come back but I can't wait to show them having a good time together.

The guys would probably get the feeling that Kelly's seeing someone, and maybe even crack a few jokes about the fact that Kelly won't tell them anything about her but it's obvious to everyone how much happier he is. And I really like the idea of them two keep their relationship a secret for a little while, they're both probably worried about how Peter's going to react.

They are definitely worried how Peter would react but I think there is also some hesitancy on Elise's part. She doesn't say anything but she wants to see what he will do, being in a monogamous relationship. But the thing with Kelly, he fell in love and he was going to get married. He can definitely do monogamous and hew will show Elise that.

I can just imagine Peter totally losing it and trying to talk his sister out of this, he might even take a swing at Kelly lol. But the thing is everyone thinks they know Kelly, they're all certain that he's the guy who sleeps around but he was ready to get married. When he was engaged he never imagined that this was who he'd become, he thought he'd be married and probably have kids by now. The more time Elise spends with him the more she realises that he wasn't what everyone thinks.

Peter only knows the Kelly that is around the firehouse and that Kelly is constantly with different women and he doesn't want that kind of guy for his sister. I imagine Kelly sleeping around because the life he thought he would have fell apart. He does want to get married and have kids - he just doesn't think it's in the cards for him anymore.

The way his engagement ended, which we still don't know the detail about, really screwed around with his head and the way his parent's marriage ended also probably influenced the way he looks at his life. I just imagine that he doesn't think it's possible anymore to be a firefighter and have a happy marriage.

Oh goodness, they are not there at all but now I'm imagining them getting married and having a good marriage lol You're making me jump a thousand steps ahead.
