My stepbrother is in Baltimore for a few months. My stepfather came to visit him and they dropped by today.

This has been the second most eventful year I've had that I can remember. (The most eventful aka stressful was from mid '03 to mid '04.)

• adopted a kitten (late December 2006)
• saw my little sister appear in an indie movie made in Panama

I'm buying Chris a new pair of glasses. Not as a Christmas gift but as a necessity. His regular pair was already losing the anti-glare coating when the frame snapped at the rim, and the older pair is failing at the hinges too ( Read more... )

Mom and my sisters came to visit on the 22nd. We all went out to dinner and the families got to know each other a bit. Wasn't anything spectacular but it's good to know Chris and my mom can get along.

We got married yesterday at the Clerk of the Peace's offices. Mom and sisters weren't there but we're all getting together Saturday for another photo session and for the families to meet.

We're getting married today!

Well, we have an officiant. Now all we need is a place.

I should have told Chris I wanted to elope. I'd have saved myself a whole lot of aggravation, especially where my mother is concerned.

There's a clubhouse near where we live (Glasgow Pines area). Apparently there are no local ordnances against excessive noise, because on weekends we can regularly hear the thumping of the bass. It's so loud it actually makes the house vibrate.
