First of all, I must say, one thing that REALLY upsets me is the notion that "Christian" = "homophobic." I can find no Biblical support for the notion. Compost and pitchforks
The three-bin compost area we hastily built four years ago is not much longer for this world. We had bought a plastic bin, but quickly realized that we created WAY more garden waste than it could handle, even with our relatively small yard. Blame the wisteria. I was at a [pretty much useless] professional development today. The presenter was trying to explain the difference between treating students "fairly" and treating students "equally." So I'm putting the baseboards back in my dining room (yay!) They're going in fine. I've even stumbled on a solution I can live with for the fact that the new floor is 3/16" higher than old, so that dining room baseboards no longer align with kitchen baseboards (which are actually sunken about a half inch below the level of the kitchen tile!). Good news is, the boys and I had a fun day, and we seem to have Theo finally squared away to start school in a week's time. Good day
It was, all things considered, a Good Day. The yard looks good; got the driveway swept, which always helps the overall "curb appeal." The floor is about 2 feet away from being done.
