I know you're just ranting, and problem solving isn't what you came for, but do you see the thing you don't want to see when you look at this list?
Something's got to give.
It's not the three classes. It's not Isaac. It's not your master's thesis. It's not your wife or English Literature (which go hand in hand, obviously) It's not exercise, because exercise is what gives you the framework and strength to do the rest. It's not even Theo.
But it sure looks to me like it has to be scouting and the church group. You have to put on your own oxygen mask first: any solution that involves quitting exercise AHEAD of scouting is the wrong solution, in my book. As for the church, well, it sounds like they should be praying for YOU right now.
Actually, something has given. It gave last year, and I spent the summer trying to rebuild it, and, come the start of the school year, it gave again. It's the same thing that gave when you were at your most stressed, and it's precisely what you named as the thing I must not give up. I haven't ridden since the Saturday before I went back to school.
This is where blogging comes in handy. Writing this out must help you to realize where you are being nucking futs.
Meditation. Oxygenation of your brain. Exercise for your body. Joy. A network of friends. Cycling does everything you could possibly want in an hour, with the possible exception of spending time with your boys and your dogs.
We no longer get the paper -- though I am finding I need the Saturday edition and maybe the Friday to be able to engage in the high school football conversations. Is it worth killing the trees to save the time searching for it every Saturday morning?
I decided to pay the $6 a month to get the subscription on my Kindle. It's there when I have some free time to look at it and costs about the same as picking up the Sunday paper every week and I'm not annoyed about spending most of my time recycling the days I don't read. That's my solution for the moment.

Of course, if you were here, you wouldn't have added the NBCT work. But still....
Hugs, and think about what gwendally said. It's pretty solid reasoning, and it's not forever.
